About This Program
Staffed Homes are shared living environments where people receive ongoing, around-the-clock support in their daily lives. Individuals live together in a home with trained staff available day and night to provide care, support, and stability.
These homes are designed to feel safe, consistent, and respectful. Daily life happens at a comfortable pace, with support built into routines in a way that feels natural. This is a home first, where people can build relationships, feel a sense of belonging, and be supported in ways that work for them.
Who This Program Supports
This program supports individuals who benefit from consistent, ongoing support in a home setting.
Some people need help with daily routines, personal care, or health needs. Others may feel more comfortable knowing support is always nearby. This program also supports individuals with higher support needs, including those who may have more complex medical needs, communicate in different ways, or benefit from additional behavioural support.
It is a good fit for people who are looking for a stable, supportive home where they can feel safe, understood, and part of a shared living environment.

Our Approach
We take time to understand each person, their routines, preferences, communication style, and what helps them feel comfortable and supported. Support is shaped around the individual and built into their daily life in a way that feels consistent and respectful.
In a shared home, we focus on creating an environment where everyone feels safe and valued. People are supported to make choices about their day, express themselves in their own way, and take part in home life at their own pace.
We work closely with families, support networks, and medical professionals to ensure care is coordinated and responsive. Plans are reviewed regularly and adjusted as needed, with a focus on maintaining stability while supporting growth, comfort, and quality of life.
Program Details
Staff are present in the home at all times, providing consistent support, supervision, and care throughout the day and overnight.
Individuals live together in a home, each with their own space, while sharing common areas and daily experiences. Homes are structured to balance privacy, connection, and routine.
Support can include personal care, medication support, and coordination with healthcare providers. For individuals with more complex medical needs, care is integrated into daily routines with a focus on comfort, safety, and consistency.
Staff are trained to support a range of communication styles and behavioural needs. Support focuses on understanding each person, reducing stress, and creating predictable, supportive environments.
Each person has a plan that reflects their needs, preferences, and goals. Plans are regularly reviewed and updated with input from the individual and their support network.
Individuals are supported to engage with their community in ways that feel meaningful. This may include recreation, outings, or maintaining important relationships.
If you think Staffed Living might be a good fit, the first step is to connect with your Community Living BC (CLBC) facilitator. They can talk with you about your needs and help guide the referral process.
You can also reach out to TCS to learn more about our homes and what support looks like day to day. We’re here to answer questions and help you explore your options.
Once a referral is in place, we work closely with you and your support network to understand what matters most and to find a home that feels like the right fit.
